FISH OUT OF WATER [kazimir's plotter]

As a fishman with the powers of a devil fruit, Kazimir is quite literally a fish out of water. When he was a child, he wandered too close to Sabaody Park and was abducted and sold to a lab to be used as a test subject. While there, he was forced to eat the Tori Tori no Mi Model: Bearded Vulture. Kazimir used the powers of the devil fruit to escape and became a bounty hunter. During his travels, he met a doctor who inspired him, and now he acts as a doctor and bounty hunter.

T I M E L I N E
Age 10 - Sold into slavery.
Age 18 - Escaped the lab.
Age 19 - Became a doctor.
Age 23 - Present.

Having spent so long, at such a young age, in captivity Kazimir isn't very good at socialization. He tends to be quite terse and to the point even when he's comfortable with someone, and this isn't helped by his mistrust of humans. Since leaving the lab, his feelings towards humans have softened to a point, but he's still got a ways to go until those wounds have healed.

What I want in the way of positive relationships in Kazimir's life is someone (or a group of people) who can help him open up more and appreciate the lives of others. Though, it could definitely be interesting to see him go in the other direction and become colder. The relationship doesn't have to be morally pure to be "positive".

As a bounty hunter, Kazimir obviously isn't going to have great relationships with pirates to start; though, I'm not opposed to having him get recruited to a pirate crew. Most of the bounties he goes after are low-level as all of the money goes towards providing free medical care to people, and it's quicker to take on a lot of small bounties where his victory is more assured than a few big ones that aren't quite as clear-cut.

I haven't put much thought into what sort of "negative" relationships I want for Kazimir. At the moment, I'm more interested in seeing him grow in a positive way.

Obviously, this is a very black and white way of looking at relationships, and relationships are usually more grey. Let me know what you think would be a cool interaction between our characters, and I'll consider it!
