Orphaned at the age of twelve, Dahlia was raised by her older brother who put his dreams of becoming a Marine on hold to care for her. Feeling guilty, Dahlia turned to stealing as a means of helping her brother pay for things. She made-up a lie about getting a job, and once her brother saw that she could take care of herself he left to pursue his own dreams. The stealing was just supposed to be until Dahlia actually did get a job - but she quickly found that she was not only good at stealing but that she liked it. Her brother thinks she is traveling around for work, but really she just goes around stealing whatever she can get away with. Occasionally she'll hire herself out as a 'thief for hire,' and while she has a great reputation of being a competent thief, she's also got a reputation of being unreliable and likely to run off with her pay and the object she was stealing. Hire at your own risk.[break][break]
Despite being a thief, Dahlia is a nice enough person. She has got a little bit of a conscious, insofar that she tries not to rob those who aren't wealthy or who are down on their luck - Hell, she's even been known to spread around her wealth a little bit if you've got a sad enough sob story. A sociable little thing, she'll talk to anyone and everyone about anything. Friends beware, though, because while she may smile and laugh with you if the opportunity arises she would rob you blind in a second and disappear from your life forever. Dahlia is about as unreliable as they come, so don't expect her to stick around and be the type to throw herself on a sword for you. [break][break]
As far as friends are concerned, Dahlia is doing a little bit of traveling right now so there are plenty of opportunities for her to run into other characters. I'd love for her to have some friends-turned-enemies or just people she's screwed over in the past. I mean, your girl does need some actual friends too - but maybe just be sure to hide your valuables from her.[break][break]
Dahlia usually doesn't stick around long enough to develop enemies, but she has got a serious streak of kleptomania so it is possible that she's stolen something big enough to piss off the wrong people. A little bit of a double-crosser, it also wouldn't be surprising if she crossed the wrong person and put a target on her back. For the most part she doesn't view many people as enemies, but if you get in the way of her and one of her targets then you're gonna be on her shit list.[break][break]
Honestly, give me all of the enemies! People who are pissed off at her for stealing something, people trying to track her down to get their stuff back, some do-gooder type trying to arrest her. I loooove enemy plots.[break][break]
I wouldn't be opposed to Dahlia potentially having a romance. She's the type to use her body to get what she wants, so it could be interesting if a situation like that turned into her actually developing feelings. She'd probably just run away from them, or try to push them to the side, so that could be fun to play around with. Besides that, she could also use a few clients - people who hire her to steal things for them. Despite all her faults, Dahlia is a talented thief and is someone who can be reliably counted on to get the job done. The only problem is that she's got a habit of crossing her clients and taking not only their money but the thing they wanted her to steal as well. So, you know, hire at your own risk.[break][break]
Feel free to post/PM me any ideas! c:
