" Saboady Archipelago.... "The name of the unique location echoed through his mind as he took his first step back onto it's land for the first time in quite awhile. Clicking his tongue off of the roof of his mouth Gungnir wouldn't waste anytime, quickly slipping into the shifting crowd and blending within the sea of people already moving about in area 20. Catching up on somethings via grabbing a local map, the Bounty Hunter would then turn his attention the the nearest and appropriated bridge as to make his way deeper into the lawless section of Sabaody. Gungnir of course was seeking to meet up with a contact of his, one AXCEL D. VAKARIAN , a Pirate he had worked with before and one who owed the Devil Fruit user a favor for botching a job. Still, Gungnir found himself cashing in on this favor without ill will in his belly or any negative emotions for that matter. After all, favors were just as good as money to D. Sinn. This favor however was coming in the form of a related task, hunting down a target, or rather in this instance a target and their crew. Gungnir having picked up on one bounty in particular, a Pirate crew leader by the name of Marlowe, a thorn in the side of the Marine's who had tasked the Bounty Hunter himself directly. Eventually Gungnir would make his way to area 12, slowing his haste as to relax before arriving at his destination, a small outside cafe / grill type of establishment. Though it wasn't here he would wait, but rather across the street in a dark alley where a screeching rat could be heard scurrying about before vanishing. His attention diverted for the moment due to the latter, Gungnir would turn his black and crimson gaze back to the street ahead of him as he remained within his vantage point.

Axcel had separated from the rest not long after their safe arrival in the lawless district of Sabaody. Adelaide mentioned something about not needing him as a babysitter before running off god knows where. Axcel knew stalking her would only cause more problems so he tasked Jun with the job of keeping her safe.
His trek through area 12 was meant to be an insightful one. Time to himself to think about the direction his crew would take until he got Adelaide to safety and rid himself of that freeloader Maxwell. Instead he found himself seated in a cafe, ordering desert after desert. Normally, Axcel wasn't one to indulge himself in such delights unless it was being paid for by another man's coin. Today was no different as he had opened up a tab in one man's name in particular:
Gungnir D. Sinn
A smirk stretched across Axcel's lips as he fed himself another spoonful of ice cream. There was nothing more satisfying than enjoying free sweets. The pirate had caught wind of the Bounty Hunter's presence in Sabaody in part due to the fact that Gungnir was seeking him out. Axcel didn't know it was him in particular that was being sought out, but when a hunter is looking for a pirate the word gets out.
It was only a matter of time before the empty seat was filled with Gungnir's intimidating mug. He wondered what kind of expression a face like that would make when he realized the tab Axcel had opened in his name.

To say Gungnir ignored things or always overlooked things would be wrong, but in this instance he had failed to remain vigilant. For it wouldn't be until about five minutes later that his lazy gaze would drift on over to the cafe in the distance. And who would be there? None other than AXCEL D. VAKARIAN himself, the sight of the man at the cafe and stuffing his face would cause Gungnir's eyes to bulge. Not out of anger or hate, but shock and confusion. Then again, the Pirate had no idea he was meant to run into Gungnir, who had hoped to catch Axcel during a trek beside the alley. Grumbling at having to move, he'd slip out of the darkness and out of the alley, shifting across the street with forced action before he fell into a less tired-form. Plopping down across from Axcel, Gungnir would proceed to use either pointer finger to slowly pull his shades down, though his mug looked a tad negative, he spoke with positivity. " If it isn't AXCEL D. VAKARIAN as I live and breathe, heh heh...Been a minute...And you're eating ice cream? Gross, sweets just rot you from the inside out bub', plus they just leave a sour taste in your mouth afterward!! Heh, heh! "As a man who didn't consume sweets, because they turned his taste buds over, the Bounty Hunter would let a smile grow across his face. At least he had found his target.

Axcel smirked and quietly laughed whenever Gungnir began lecturing him about sweets. If there was one thing he liked about the bounty hunter it was the fact he would never be asked to share. Not when it came to these delicious deserts, at least. Gungnir was an acquired taste, as far as companionship goes, but Axcel tolerated his presence better than others.
"I see you prefer rotting from the outside in, bub." Axcel spoke as he looked the man and his facial features, particularly the tattoos and ink, with a look that mirrored Gungnir's own after he saw Axcel's ice cream. "But enough about that. How've you been Gungnir? And why do I get the feeling I'm not going to like what you have to say to me." His smirk faded as his look of scrutiny shifted into one of caution. Gungnir was all smiles and full of laughs, but Axcel remembered that not being the case the last time they parted ways. He could already feel what was coming next.
There was only one reason Gungnir would seek Axcel out and it sure as hell wasn't for brunch.

"I see you prefer rotting from the outside in, bub."
Breaking out into a bout of chuckles Gungnir nonetheless remained mindful as to not interrupt Axcel as he continued to speak.
" I've been better, I've been worse. Y'know, samel ol', same ol'...But alas straight to the point, just like me, I wasn't going to beat around the bush for long...Heh...You must already feel it huh? Me cashing in on that I owe you, that you owe me?! CA-CHING!! "
Pulling out a rolled up piece of parchment from inside of his v-neck shirt with his left hand he'd flick his wrist as he reached over the table between himself and the Pirate. Before Axcel's eyes would unfold a bounty for one "Marlowe". Marlowe being a Fishman Pirate Captain who had gained notoriety via not only hassling the Marine's and their efforts. But also for introducing Humans into the ranks of his crew, putting racism and age-old conflicts to rest at least within his crew. Still holding out the bounty Gungnir would then speak further still.
" This big ugly fucker is wanted, dead. I was given the task by the Marines directly, he's a thorn in their side that we need to remove! So what do ya' say, oblige my cash in on that rain check or what?! "

Axcel nodded as Gungnir spoke of his days being more or less the same since they last met. Despite the way Gungnir spoke, Axcel knew well that the same ol', same ol' was anything but mundane for a bounty hunter. Especially now that he was nearing the end of Paradise and on the cusp of expanding his sights onto pirates of the New World. There was nothing typical about his days.
"I don't know what you're getting at." Axcel shut his eyes and turned his face away, playing dumb. Yet there was no denying the debt owed. Besides, the way Gungnir said 'Ca-Ching' was enough to get Axcel's attention. His sense of greed always getting the better of him. The pirate looked at the parchment out of the corner of one eye, his eyebrow raising at the sight of that bounty. Axcel's eyes practically turned into Berri itself as he stared at the reward with a gleam in his eye.
The name Marlowe had come up here and there since Axcel came onto Sabaody. A man with a bounty that size was certain to have his name passed around these sectors. A notorious Fishman pirate—someone I'Orca could be taking notes from!
"I don't know. . . The Marines have been causing me problems of my own. I kinda like this fella." Axcel stroked his chin as he recalled his encounter with the rear admiral and her unit. They were a pain in the ass that would no doubt become chronic unless dealt with sooner than later. Maybe Marlowe would cross their paths and do the work for him. Still, that reward was attractive enough to cause Axcel to go against his better judgement.
Turning towards Gungnir, Axcel extended his hand for a shake. "Alright, alright. I like money more than I like the idea of this guy causing problem's for Marines, so I'll give you a hand. I've got other things on my plate so let's not waste any time, yeah?" Axcel said as he began to rise from his seat. Between his crew scattering and the Marine heat on his ass, Axcel could use some extra coin to put into Marine pockets so he can escape the Sabaody blockade after the jailbreak.

-TT-Chuckling lightly between AXCEL D. VAKARIAN 's response to Gungnir's calling in on the favour that the Pirate faithfully owed the Bounty Hunter. Gungnir might've been a fighter at heart and in mind, making him childish if not outright foolish in some cases, but he knew honour. Popping his neck from side to side with either hand on their respective jawline, he'd follow Axcel's movements, scooting his chair backward before rising up to leave his seat. Proceeding to leave the cafe behind and moving on elsewhere, it'd soon come to Sinn to guide the way. " I heard he and his crew hang out in Area 17 mostly, worth a try before anything else I figure...My contacts aren't usually wrong...Or in the least not far off... "Letting out a slight sigh at the thought of having to do further searching outside of Area 17 he'd interlock his fingers between one another before cupping his hands behind his head. Walking side by side with the ebony and ivory pair would pass over one grand bridge to the next, moving from "Section" to "Section" along their way to their destination. " Shits' really been hitting the fan lately I hear...Marlowe is jsut the tip of the iceberg, soon I'll have plenty of bounties to pick from! I've received word the World Government is about to release a whole new batch in just a couple days or so! "Running his tongue over the bottom of his teeth he'd pull it back into the safety of his mouth as he chomped down, biting the air as if taking a piece of the fruit he was envisioning. The act itself being an expression of his greed of course. " I wonder if Fishmen taste anything like actual fish....Would that be cannibalism, I wonder? "

Axcel nodded quietly whenever Gungnir spoke of Marlowe's possible whereabouts. Though he had initially thought taking down the troublesome pirate was against his interests, given that he was causing problems for Marines, Axcel began to think differently now. With Marlowe out of the way, the Marine presence in Sabaody would drop. Hopefully anyways.
"Area 17. . ." Axcel mumbled out loud, trying to recall what that sector was known for. The pirate captain had done his homework before their arrival at the island, but there were so many damned areas that it was difficult to recall what made each and every one of them special.
Gungnir's comment about a batch of new bounties was met with an awkward laughter from Axcel. "No doubt those involved with the prison break earlier are going to be featured in that batch. I doubt most of 'em have ran too far from here, either." Though the two of them had history, there was not a doubt in Axcel's mind that if he had a bounty on his head Gungnir would be coming for it. That's just how things were and both of them had a mutual understanding of that.
"Something tells me cannibalism isn't on your moral compass." Axcel said as his eyes shifted towards Gungnir. "I know a fishman that insists they don't, but that could be out of self preservation..." Axcel said, remembering how often he claimed that he would cook I'Orca alive if they needed the food. Though a member of his crew and a skilled navigator, his title was none other than 'Emergency Food Supply'.
As they grew closer to area 17, Axcel was slowly realizing they didn't have a clue as to how they were going to take this guy out. "So what's your plan? Something tells me going in guns blazing doesn't quite cut it anymore. Not at bounties this high." Axcel glanced towards Gungnir once again. "I wouldn't count on that fruit of yours leaving you untouchable here."

" The Fruit and it's flames are just an extension of myself, kuku, what would I be if I relied solely on them? Heh, heh. "Rubbing the back of his neck as he spoke his reply with an honest clear tone. It was likely after all that any combative encounter with the Fishman and or his crew would take place near the water if not in it. With the latter he had to be careful not to drown, a thought that always reminded him of how he nearly drowned in a pond plagued with drought, death having almost taken him in just two feet of water. Shaking the memory from his head Gungnir would finally come to a halt, peering down either side of a street they were coming upon from another. " I figure we might get lucky enough to catch Marlowe off guard, either by himself or with just one to three guards, he doesn't roll deep away from his ship so they say. "Biting his lower lip and beginning to lead the way toward the edge of the miniature "island" they were on, he'd raise a hand in an attempt to halt AXCEL D. VAKARIAN 's movements once more as well. Turning to show Axcel that he held his other hand's finger up to his lips as a means to tell the Pirate to be quiet. Gungnir would proceed to then use the same hand he had used to stop Axcel to then point out ahead toward a pair of Fishmen, an Octopus and Shrimp, walking alongside with a Human, the three of whom were walking toward the nearby tree line. Perhaps their search was nearly over??

"What would you be if you relied solely on them? How about someone still able to climb to the top of Bounty Hunting leaderboards?" Axcel said with a laugh. Though he knew Gungnir was capable without his fruit, there was no doubting that those that wielded the powers of a logia were able to stand high in the world. And for those who didn't rely solely on that power, they could stand at the very top if they willed it.
Axcel's train of thought came to a stop whenever Gungnir's hand motioned for him to cease moving. Axcel's eyes followed his companion's direction, putting the pair of fishmen in his sights. Considering this was the area Marlowe was rumored to be in and it was likely that his crew was more fishmen than men, that pair over there was as good of a clue to their mark's whereabouts as they were going to get.
"I'm sure we'll find out where Marlowe is hiding out if we trail these two. . ." Axcel said in a hushed whisper to Gungnir, waiting for his signal to stay on the pair of fishmen's tail. If they stuck to them long enough, they would eventually be led to a massive, seemingly abandoned warehouse. Now it was Axcel who raised a hand to stop Gungnir from moving any further.
"We are not taking the front door. . ."

Taking off his jacket and tying it around his waste he'd continue on forward alongside Axcel, their pace neck and neck, dead even. Along the way however he'd remain silent after his companion's words, ones that struck true to his inner resolve and left him thinking deeply. When it came to fighting he could very well easily fall into sole reliance on his Devil Fruit as some have come to do in passing times, some achieving nothing, though some retaining legendary status. But it was this kind of gluttony that Gungnir refused to fall back upon, he couldn't become some slob focused on the Mera Mera Fruit and the powers it bestowed upon him. Caught up in this "Day dreaming" Gungnir would walk directly into Axcel's raised hand, which sent him crashing into reality as he nearly stepped on a fallen tree branch. The bottom of his boot pressed against it, glaring at it and then the warehouse ahead Gungnir would take a half step backward. Biting his lower lip in annoyance Gungnir would begin to scratch the side of his head. He didn't recall anyone other than Marlowe being a threat, yet who knew how many worked for him, after all he was combining Human and Fishman forces. And any Fishman was worth at least two or three normal Humans, on average at least, or so Gungnir liked to think, perhaps just to boast himself up when he did manage to take a Fish-stick down. Yeah?...Maybe we should though right? Sometimes aggressive is as good as the stealth or er, careful route...Right?...Or...Y'know, I could be a distraction....set the joint on fire and keep all eyes on me?

"No. . . No, absolutely not." Axcel said, the very notion of following those fishmen through the front door causing him to get stressed. His hands massaged his temples as he tried to put together a plan of sorts. His eyes narrowed onto the warehouse's surroundings, looking for another point of entry for the two.
"There." Axcel pointed towards a pile of trash that they could use as a means to reach a nearby ladder, leading them towards the rooftop. The pirate began to move, only to halt and turn towards Gungnir. He pointed two fingers at his own eyes then at Gungnir, gesturing that he was watching him and to not do anything crazy. "First we find out how many of them there are. . ." He said before sneaking off towards the pile of junk.
Axcel made his way up, scaling the warehouse's ladder and poking his head above the rooftop. There was a single fishman standing watch. The pirate gave Gungnir a look that communicated that fact. Then he quietly pulled himself over the rooftop ledge and approached the hammerhead shark of a fishman. Stepping beside the watch-guard, Axcel folded his arms similar to how the guard had done so and finally spoke.
"Nice view, eh?" The guard was alarmed by Axcel's presence, to say the least. The initial surprise being replaced by a look of fury, Axcel anticipated the incoming hook punch and ducked beneath it. Axcel was quick on his feet, side stepping and only narrowly dodging what the fishman continued to throw at him, giving Gungnir more than a few opportunities to take him out.

I mean...at least it's just a junk pile, less threatening then taking a trash compactor path. I'll follow your lead then...Following Axcel and letting him "take" charge didn't bother the Bounty Hunter Assassin in the least, if anything it made his job easier, less thinking to do after all. Rather than cracking his knuckles against each opposite palm, he'd instead individually pull at each finger, a less audible "pop" emitting from each gesture instead of a crackle. Staying low he'd shuffle behind Axcel, taking his time to let his tattooed eyes observe their surroundings further, also watching their rear while his companion kept to the front. Letting Axcel shimmy up the ladder first he'd trail him, also slowly, pausing even here and there to make sure he wasn't going to get blindsided while climbing. Before coming atop the rooftop himself Axcel would signal him that there was one look out, before the ivory haired male vanished from Gungnir's eyesight. Cursing himself in silence and biting his lip he'd bound up the ladder until he could use his hands to help launch him into a small jump up and off of the ladder. Drawing his axe as he moved forward through the air via his vault, he'd draw back his right arm before hurling it forward as he took aim at his target, waiting for just the right moment as not to hit Axcel. Taking a calming breath he'd throw his arm forward, releasing his axe and praying Axcel didn't side step into the melee projectile Gungnir had hurled at the Hammerhead Shark-Fishman's face. Biting his lip as he exhaled he'd move his other arm forward, hitting the rooftop in a handspring to lessen the blow of his feet hitting the ground. It was best if they avoided unwanted attention after all.

It felt like Gungnir was taking his sweet time. In reality though it was that this fishman had been much faster than Axcel assumed. Each strike coming his way was just barely evaded, but the shark-like beast before him was a quick learner. The pirate brought his arms up now to defend himself where he couldn't evade, the crushing force behind the fishman's punches causing him to wince slightly.
Suddenly and without warning, the fishman broke through his guard. Shit. Axcel cursed under his breath as he prepared for what was to come as the fishman's hands reeled back. Instead of hitting him, though, the fishman went limp as Gungnir's axe split him open. Axcel quickly reacted, catching the slain fishman so the thud his massive body could have made wouldn't be a cause for alarm to those within the warehouse below.
"Eugh..." Axcel groaned, letting the body down gently as he dusted off the bit of blood that had sprayed onto him. "Through the airducts." Axcel added, pointing towards their designated path into the warehouse for some top-notch spying action. Just as he had suggested, he made for the ductwork, crouching down and crawling inside. Groaning and complaining the entire time. It wasn't until he got a look of what was going on inside that he grew suddenly silent.
Marlowe.
They were able to see their mark through the vent. There he stood, above elevated above what looked to be nearly two-dozen other fishmen and nearly a dozen humans. Gungnir and Axcel were severely outmatched here. They could take a good chunk of them out, but not without being able to secure their target and not without strong risks of one of them falling in the process. Axcel simply gave Gungnir a look that said 'I told you so' in regards to coming through the front door.
Marlowe was giving a speech. He touched on the Hot-Headed pirates causing a jailbreak, one that Axcel had seen in person, and spoke of how the Marines were more vulnerable now than ever. They were planning something.

"Score..."Slowly making his way over to the corpse of the Fishman that Axcel had set down, Gungnir would come to rest his left knee on their fallen form, using both hands then to pull his axe free from their skull. Following Axcel across the roof then he'd proceed into the ventilation system as the ivory haired male had, ebony trailing. The Bounty Hunter would find himself unable to hear Axcel's grunts and groans of stress as he himself was complaining along the way just as much. Moving through the duct-work Gungnir would make to his own "viewport", a small grated vent. His eyes only tearing away from the large number of Fishman and Human forces ahead and below to meet Axcel's judgmental, "I told you so" glare. Biting his lip and turning his gaze back to the Pirates in the warehouse he'd begin to contemplate on potential ideas to secure their target. Yet, this was mostly scrambled into white noise as his ears focused on what Marlowe was speaking on. The recent big prison break out and a weakness within the Marines the touching subjects that Gungnir focused on. Though he doubted that any single Pirate crew, or even a few coupled ones, could do anything to the might of the Marines, Gungnir was ready to listen to what Marlowe had to say still.
