Axcel and I'Orca's time together had been short but their partnership had proven to be fruitful so far. The keywords being so far. The money came in and so did a mix of fame and infamy. Hell, they even made it to the Grand Line, seeking greater fortunes not unlike any other pirate who ventured here.
Yet this sea was harsh. It was nothing like the four blues. Even a seasoned navigator like I'Orca struggled to take them from island to island. There was no telling where they would end up as the compass they had proved to be useless in the Grand Line. Their ship was barely holding it together as is, but the trek over Reverse Mountain and now the last storm had proven to be too much for it to handle. The damned thing fell apart on them and not even their survival was guaranteed. Axcel held onto I'Orca, cursing him as he felt his conscious fade, his blame towards the fishman being more out of habit than malice.
Then everything went black.
"Eugh..." Axcel groaned, his aching body laying against the shore of a beach. He rolled onto his back, rubbing his eyes and spotting I'Orca not too far off. They made it to an island after all. Time and time again they seemed to just barely escape death.
"Don't move!" A voice called out to them both followed by the sound of a rifle being readied. Axcel glanced up, setting his eyes upon his captor. It was a little girl. Couldn't have been older than nine. Ten at the very most. About four feet tall with shoulder length dark hair and orange clothing. Her aim shifted between Axcel and I'Orca every few seconds or so. There was no hesitation in her eyes, despite the her hands shaking as she pointed the gun at them.
The pirate laid still, heeding her warnings. He wasn't about to get shot and killed by a little girl. Not after what he just survived. "Easy there, princess." Axcel said, his voice calm and soft. "We're just a couple of lucky shipwreck survivors. We don't mean any harm..." Axcel's hands spread across the sand as if to mimic the common position someone would take when surrendering.
"That's... That's what they said too. And now... and now everything is horrible!" What started as words of sadness quickly turned into a fevered rage. The shaking in her hands disappeared and her resolve to kill both the captain and navigator strengthened immensely.

[googlefont=Asar] [attr="class","carrie"]One too many Once's later. . .
Despite all odds, and for a lack of better judgement I still found myself within the company of Axcel. Though all reason told me to separate myself from him as quickly as possible, circumstances continued to keep our unlikely pair together. From the Blues to the Grand Line, we'd traveled together despite everything.
And to be honest I did my best despite Axcel's constant nagging. All the way up til the Grand Line I'd done my job as Navigator flawlessly, but once on the Line it was impossible for me to succeed. When traveling from Fishman Island I used deep sea waterways to traverse, but moving above water required a Log Pose which we did not have. Inevitably our sorry excuse for a floatation device, I mean boat, was beset by a storm, and fell to pieces. To my amazement Axcel continued to nag even as he hung to me while we thrashed about amidst the raging waves. Normally such a squall was of no threat to me beneath the sea, but there was no way Axcel would survive. I had half a mind to drop him, but alas higher aspirations prevailed.
Long after Axcel had fallen unconscious, and the storm passed I found us floating for the umpteenth time not too far from an island; a particularly strange island at that. The island itself seemed to be covered in giant. . . food? From a massive croissant mountain peak to massive pieces of ham, and a sunny side up egg, it all looked delicious to say the least. Trudging onto its shores I haphazardly threw Axcel to the side before sitting down facing the sea, grumbling internally. This was not the first time we'd capsized, but always we would find ourselves aside an island in due time. Though I am sure Axcel would chalk it up to miracles, and refuse to acknowledge my efforts of dragging his sorry ass through hazardous seas. Truly if I had not been with him, it was likely he'd have been consumed by the sea long ago.
"Don't move!" said a voice as I was contemplating my recent experiences. Turning to face the stranger I was met with the same sight as Axcel. Lifting both arms in the traditional manner to signify surrender, I stared shocked at what I was seeing. For a mere child to act this way, what was happening on this island? Though I had many questions, I discovered among our travels it was usually best to leave the talking to Axcel. He had a way with these situations--if only I maintained that line of thought.
"That's right. We mean you no harm so put down the gun litt-" BANG! went the gun as a round zoomed past me mere inches from my face. "Whoa! WHOA! I yelped in shock as I dropped to my knees. I did not see that coming. "DON'T call me little. Now who the hell are you? And no lies!" The girl said as she cocked another round into the rifle. And like I said: leave the talking to Axcel. Smooth I'Orca. Real Smooth.
Though he scorned the fishman with his thoughts, Axcel was lucky that I'Orca mispoke the way he did. Triggering the little girl's anger and causing her to fire a warning shot served to be the perfect distraction for Axcel to prepare a counterattack of his own. On the beach shore, Axcel's weapon of choice was readily available. His outstretched arms formed a fist, gathering what he could into them.
"Listen..." Axcel's voice came off as he was pleading. His eyes meeting the little girl who was pissed and ready to put a bullet in him. Instead of reacting, Axcel's eyes shifted slowly towards I'Orca. Naturally, the little girl followed his shifting eyes to see what the fishman might've been up to now. However it was just a set up to get her attention off of Axcel.
The moment she looked away, Axcel chucked his hands full of sand at her while shouting dramatically. "Pocket Sand!" Without missing a beat, Axcel rolled off to the side knowing the girl would blindly fire in retaliation. And fire she did. The bullet narrowly missed where the captain was laying as he quickly jumped to his feet and jerked the rifle out of her hands. Axcel thought to knock her shit out with the butt of the rifle, but she was just a kid. So instead he smacked her across the face with the back of his hand, knocking her back and onto the ground. Axcel was above hitting children with guns, but not above hitting children.
"Ya little punk! I told you we're survivors and you try and kill us!" Axcel pointed towards the remains of their ship as the girl tried to fight back her tears. "What're you doing out here by yourself anyways?" Axcel said, a tinge of concern escaping through his lips as he began to regret how he harshly he reacted. He was stubborn though and didn't offer a hand to the girl. Someone like her wouldn't have accepted it anyways.
"I was hunting! And I'm not by myse--"
Before she could get the words out, a masculine war cry came from behind the treeline. At first Axcel braced himself for a fight, thinking it was coming for him and I'Orca. Instead he heard a more monstrous noise respond to it. The pirate looked at his navigator, signaling for him that it was time to investigate.
"We have to help!" The little girl cried out, scurrying onto her feet and running away.
"H-hey! You're my prisoner you punk!" Axcel cursed under his breath and followed the girl through the treeline. What he saw next was nothing short of unbelievable.
A man who was likely a native and the girl's traveling companion was wrestling with a gigantic sausage-worm. The thing was at least three times the size of I'Orca and by the looks of the destruction it caused when it was thrashing about, it was strong. Yet this guy seemed to handle it with ease.
"Shit! Help the guy I'Orca! We can't bill people we don't help!" Axcel jabbed at I'Orca's sides, despite it being entirely obvious that the man was doing fine on his own.

Breakfast Island This island, Breakfast Island, was a strange place said to be one of the wonders of the world. Sailors who drifted by this island all reported the same thing, the smell of bacon and eggs that wafted out for miles. Attracted to that smell they of course would make landfall in search of whatever was causing such a delicious scent. However, this breakfast platter laid out for all to consume was done so purposefully by the malicious hand of someone or something with power beyond compare. Perhaps, if they had known the true horrors of the island they would not have landed here at all, yet perhaps if they knew that there was a secret treasure lurking beneath the island proper they would have even given caution to the wind and attempted to covet it with all their might. The island was split into five separate areas with a singular mountain range in the middle. Each area housed an enormous platter of one food item that seemingly was inexhaustible. That is, day by day when anyone took from the giant mound of food in any of the areas it would simply spontaneously regenerate, returning to its previous state. The first area was dubbed 'Egg Hill' where a giant sunny-side up egg formed the hill. The others followed the same convention of having their name both describe the type of meal they were and the formation they were 'Ham Canyon', 'Bacon Ridge', 'French-Toast Village', and 'Milk Waterfall'. Finally, atop the mountain was known as 'Butter Peak'. French-Toast village was the only place considered at all hospitable throughout the island, the houses being literally made from the inexhaustible french toast, and canals having been dug that allowed milk to flow from the adjacent Milk Waterfall to provide them with liquid. Beyond the fact that food was readily available, there was a simple reason why the village was safe, there were no monsters. Each of the other regions was the home of giant monsters whom themselves were made from food. These monsters included the great majestic Barbecue Pigs of Ham Canyon, the Wicked Beanstalk of the forests near Bacon Ridge, and the Hungerilla Bird flock that patrolled Butter Peak. The natives here had become incomparably strong due to the prescience of these monsters, as fighting and eating them seemed to impart a portion of the animals strength to the natives themselves. The reason and origin of this was unknown, but ordinary pirates would not get far into the island without themselves becoming the nourishing meal.
Jun had come here in his youth, washing up on after being beached in his small dingy. Unlike normal pirate's his immense strength had allowed him to survive and thrive here. Eventually, the natives took to Jun, allowing him into their society - later still their leader. As leader he was offered the greatest of foods on the island which only added onto his own might meal by meal. This was especially good since Jun himself never saw himself as a native, and in fact might as well be a captor of the island itself. There was a legend that told of the individual who could unite all five portions of food on the top of Butter Peak, adding but a dollop of it to the meal to complete the perfect breakfast. Being so gifted with strength the natives had took it upon themselves to assign Jun as this legendary figure and had since almost literally force fed him until he burst, adding onto his strength. . but also his girth. "You fool you think this enough?" An enormous hand smacked a platter food away from the hand of a servant, his rotund belly jiggling due to the recoil of some reserve of undue strength. He sat atop a throne of carved meats, the mansion around him formed of the finest french toast lightly buttered to perfection. "I need more! 20 -- no 30 Barbeque Pigs, 1 whole Jelly tree, 12 Plates of Monkey Spaghetti. . ." His voice trailed off, seemingly never ending.

[googlefont=Asar] [attr="class","carrie"]Leave it to Axcel to quickly resolve the situation, yet as events progressed I found myself questioning aspects of his approach. The first was his initial distraction. True to the Axcel way he utilized his signature technique whilst shouting its name to deal with the situation, but. . . could "Pocket Sand" really be called so when it had not come from his own pockets? Secondly was his manner in dealing with the young girl. Though she held us at gunpoint anyone could tell it had been done out of fear, and not a fear of us for that matter. Thus when hand met face, and tears replied, I looked upon Axcel with utter disdain.
"Do you really have to hit her so hard?" I said as I rose to my feet.
I had intended to utter more unpleasantries toward Axcel's manner, but was cut short by the resounding war cry from not one, but two entities; one very much less than human. As the young girl scampered off with Axcel close behind, I couldn't help but sigh, and follow along. While true Axcel dealt with situations like before well, control over the aftermath was an entirely different matter.
Barreling through the forest after Axcel, and the girl I soon came upon the same sight as Axcel. A mere man smaller than even I was tussling with a creature nearly three times my size, and yet he seemed to do it with ease as it had apparently been pinned down. As I was reeling from the fact I could feel an all familiar jab, and voice from the side. Internally I wished to ignore him, but when the sudden worried cry "Teach!" emanated from the girl, I found myself unable to not react. Without even opening my mouth a wave of concentrated sound bombarded the strange sausage-worm, but at that very moment I had a sudden revelation, did this thing even have ears? Long story short, it did not. I quickly found my action had did little more than force the creature into a frenzy even more wild than the last. "Oh shi-!"
"What the?!" The man cried as he noticed the creatures increased vigor before his attention was finally drawn to the newly arrived trio. "Dammit all!"
Forced to act due to my interference, with profound strength he lifted the sausage-worm before slamming it hard onto the ground. Wishing to make amends for my mistake I aimed a punch at the creature as it was momentarily dazed. My strike looked rather strange to others as it seemed to hit nothing but air, yet afterwards a strong concussive force smashed into the sausage-worm's head. In its stunned state the man leapt upon its head where his own impressive strike sent the creature into unconsciousness. From his vantage point he turned to face us where he immediately noticed the lingering tears in the girl's eyes, and the fading bruise on her face.
"Oho?" voiced the man as he lept off the creature. "Thanks for the help big guy, though I had the situation handled. However someone has some explaining to do" he said before looking directly at Axcel whom had the girls gun in his possession, all the while motioning for the girl to move to his side. "Not all of us are bulletproof. Staring down a barrel actually feels threatening to me." Axcel said sternly. He might have been overplaying I'Orca's defensive capabilities, but there were no doubts in the captain's mind that their endurance was leagues apart. Time and time again Axcel had displayed his tenacity, but bullets were still bullets. He couldn't say the same to the chunk of fish blubber that stood beside him.
Axcel's eyes studied the fight that ensued shortly after they cleared the treeline. He stood in front of the girl with her rifle in his hands, acting as a wall between her and the sausage-worm should it interfere. It wasn't every day that Axcel saw another man as formidable as this monster hunter. If he had to guess, the guy could stand toe to toe against I'Orca. If only for awhile. The fishman's endurance was monstrous to say the least.
It wasn't long before the monster was taken care of. It laid limp, finally looking like a lifeless, gigantic sausage. Suddenly all eyes fell onto Axcel. Explaining? Axcel pursed his lips and shifted his eyes towards the side, avoiding eye contact with anyone. He was certainly guilty, but even more so the man was stubborn.
"Ah yeah, about that..." He finally spoke, preparing to shovel a mountain of bullshit towards the pair of natives. Instead, his next words were cut off by a deafening shrill. It sounded much like the sausage-worm from earlier, only more... Intense.
"Oho...here comes to the mother. I wasn't prepared to deal with this. Brace yourselves everyone!" The strong native spoke, his voice bellowing as he entered a stance ready for combat.
"You've got to be kidding me..."

[googlefont=Asar] [attr="class","carrie"] "Tis only natural." I said in response before listening in to the conversation. To say I didn't internally revel suspicions, and focuses were put onto Axcel would be a lie. I secretly hoped he would fumble in his responses, but alas fate would not allow it. A sharp cry akin to that of the sausage-worm overwhelmed my senses. And when my mind registered the man's revelation, the world was sent reeling. "M-m-mother?" I blurted in shock shortly before a creature tore through the forest. What the hell is wrong with this island? I thought as I lay eyes on the massive sausage-worm momma. The mother was about twice the size of the infant with portions of its 'neck' area partially peeled forward to form a pseudo-mane (or octopus). To be honest the creature itself looked rather cute until its maw opened to reveal rows upon rows of teeth like a grinder. Enraged by the harm done to its child the mother charged forth to slam into the people closest to it's infant, the man, and young girl. "We'll talk after this assuming you guys live." Grabbing the girl in his arms the man bounded in a 'V' maneuver to first dodge the charge, and rebound himself off the infant's body to deliver a fierce kick to the mother's side. With his strength the mother was sent crashing to the side directly toward where Axcel, and I stood. Unknowingly I had already placed myself between the incoming sausage-worm, and Axcel where I would not make the same mistake as before. A fist of pure black, and the pinnacle of my strength smashed into the oncoming creature. The opposing forces caused the creature's body to begin to lift, and vault over Axcel, and I. An easy target for any individual. Just the sound of that thing made Axcel uneasy. Judging by what he had just witnessed, that sausage-worm's mother was going to be one thicc monster. After it revealed itself after knocking several trees over in it's path towards the group, Axcel had all the confirmation he needed. Thicc. Monster. The hunter took his student and maneuvered out of it's way, evading an attack while countering with his own.
Now it was headed towards the shipwrecked pirates.
"Here it comes..." Axcel stated the obvious while bracing himself. I'Orca stood in front of him, coating his arm in haki before delivering a fierce blow into the sausage monster. It began to ooze with oily juices upon being struck by the fishman. A shockwave of fat rippling through it's body before suddenly it rocketed into the air like a rubberband being fired upwards.
"Good one mate!" The native's voice could be heard only now it was high in the air. Very high. As if on cue, the native did a forwards spin to gather momentum for a powerful kick, delivering a punishing blow towards the air bound creature. It's attack so strong that it, combined with the damage I'Orca inflicted, caused the worm to burst into two halves.
Suddenly the girl shrieked. A shadow loomed over her as one of the sausage-worm's halves was making it her way. Before the native's attack had even connected, Axcel had already began to move. His use of haki differed from I'Orca's, but it played better to his strengths. His legs pushed hard and carried him far as he grit his teeth knowing this was going to be a close one. As he got closer, he knew there was no way he was going to be able to get them out of the way in time.
The little girl, frozen and unable to act, seemed to prepare for the worst as she shut her eyes. The loud thud followed by the cloud of dust that lifted into the air made her wonder what was going on. She questioned how she managed to escape death, only to hear the heavy heaves of Axcel's breathes. She opened her eyes and the only shadow there was the pirate captain's, having taken the brunt of the impact on his own. Axcel, still panting, gave a cheeky grin and a wink as he held his fingers over his lips and gestured for her to keep what happened earlier a secret.
"Oho... Good work. You're a strong one, aren't ya?" The native said after landing on the ground. He seemed unaware of the near death experience his student just had. "Now then... About that explanation, mate."
"Ah you see we're just two sailors that shipwrecked on this island. I'Orca here, bless his heart, caught the girl off guard and she tripped pretty hard, eating a face full of sand." Axcel explained away the wound on her face with a lie told so well only someone that knew him as well as I'Orca dared question it. The pirate turned towards the girl, handing her the rifle he had wrestled away from her. "Right?" Axcel said, giving her a knowing look.
"Right..." She said, hesitantly at first, but then looked at her teacher and nodded with approval.
"Then it's settled! You two helped us take down quite a beast! Our meat supply has been on the low side since he—well that's a story for another time. Just know that your help here will be something everyone in French Toast Village can appreciate!" He said with a roar, pumping his fist into the air as he motioned for everyone to help lug the chunks of sausage towards his home village.
"Can't imagine this place being low on meat. Not with these things running around..." Axcel whispered to I'Orca as they trailed behind the pair of natives. Their arrival here had been such a rush since the moment they got there that Axcel was only just now taking in how amazingly strange this island was. The Grand Line, as always, is full of surprises.
Upon reaching French-Toast Village, more and more of the villagers seemed to leave their homes as they looked at the meat with awe in their eyes. They looked like they ate less than either of the two pirates. A thought Axcel found hard to believe. Then they started clap and cheer. They must really like their sausages.
A short, old man made his way through the crowd and approached the group with a happy bounce to his step.
"Oi, this is Pran Prandium, or Pran Pran as we like to call him. He used to be in charge of the Breakfast Club, the ruling organization of this island, until a regime change sometime ago." The native said with a hushed whisper, speaking with a tone of high respect towards the old man.
"You've done it boy! You brought enough meat for the tribute and then some! The villagers will be happy to eat meat after our how long this recent fast has been..." The old man said happily. He looked at the meat as if it was a scantily clad woman. It was like some sort of reverse objectification.
Axcel's eyes shifted towards I'Orca and then back towards the villagers. For once he didn't have some sort of sarcastic commentary to add.

[googlefont=Asar] [attr="class","carrie"]I couldn't help but stare agape at Axcel's audacity. He practically, no, he had in fact bribed the girl using her own life to escape suspicions. Instead, like usual, all blame was placed upon me. I had half a mind to deny the fabricated tale, but then I thought about the overall situation. On an unknown island without a means of leaving (aside from leaving Axcel behind) we needed the help of the locals. I had no choice but to stay quiet, besides revenge is a dish best served cold.
"Indeed. It's strange."
I too had thought that part of the man's speech was strange. Unlike Axcel whom had not seen the island from afar, I knew this place was practically made of food, and with creatures of such constitution I found it strange they would ever run low on food.
"No need to mention it. Helping is what heroes ought to do."
Following the pair whose names we still did not know it wasn't long before we were brought to French-Toast village which looked exactly as its name depicted. That is, however, until one saw the villagers. Each and every one of them made it seem as if they did not live on an island made of food. It was truly strange. That is until I heard the elder Pran Pran mention something of tribute, and my mind immediately went to a religious reason. The rest of the villagers did not seem like they possessed the ability to hunt the creatures of the island, but it was strange that they were so underfed. Now I love meat as much as the next guy, but they way these villagers looked upon it made it seem as if they had not eaten it in years.
"Tribute? Fast? Is it a religious thing?" I couldn't help but blurt randomly. [newclass=.carrie]padding: 20px; font: 12px asar; text-align: justify;box-shadow: 0px 0px 7px #838383;[/newclass][newclass=.carrie::first-letter]font: 12px/12px arial;[/newclass]

The next several hours were spent in celebration of the excess food that Axcel and I'Orca had helped bring in. Fulfilling the quota necessary to pay Jun Seba, current president of the Breakfast Club, the people of French-Toast village indulged in the savory meats for the first time in many months.
Music and dancing commenced near the fiery pit that was cooking the massive sausage-links to perfection. During this time, Pran Pran began to tell Axcel and I'Orca the story of Breakfast Island as they gathered around a smaller fire. The little girl from before began to climb up I'Orca's broad frame, taking a seat on his smooth, rubber-like head. The old man leaned towards the flames, his face brightening up as he began to tell the tale of this island.
Legend has it that the first men to arrive at breakfast island a thousand years ago did so in hopes to escape the persecution that their motherland inflicted on their dietary habits. They were strong believers in breakfast being the most important meal of the day and as such began replacing all three meals with foods meant for the early morning. They say one of Pran Pran's very own ancestors became one with the island, sacrificing himself into the fiery pits of a tomato volcano, he gave life to the superfoods that could be found here. They say only those with the blood of the first men could accomplish such a great feat.
As long as Pran Pran could remember, his family as in charge of ruling this island. Their government and ruling council, known as the Breakfast Club, respected strength above all. The old man's family came from a lineage that responded well to the superfoods that could be discovered on this island and as such as a shoe-in for President and regime change was not something any native anticipated.
Until Jun Seba arrived.
The man with a blackhole for a stomach nearly razed the island of all it's natural resources, only stopping to make it his home. Demanding a tribute so large that the rest of the Islanders would be required to switch to a vegetarian diet if they hoped to survive. The native hunters, in awe of his strength, flocked to his side. With everything Pran Pran had to say about Jun, it was clear that the man was not to be trifled with. The only time the villagers were able to eat meat was when they defeated one another in his gladiatorial coliseum—the source of meat being their defeated foe. If they were able to gather meat that exceeded what the tribute demanded, they were allowed to keep it. A feat never accomplished until today.
"That's how the story goes, anyways! Ehehehe. Knowing the struggles we've had and the trials we still have to face... Won't you heroes for hire do something?" Pran Pran spoke softly, his voice softening along with the music and dancing that surrounded them.
Axcel, who had been mindlessly chewing on a stick of flavorful meats and rolling his eyes here and there as the old man told his story, could audibly be heard as he chewed and swallowed his mouthful of food. His eyes shifted from I'Orca to the little girl with hopeful eyes and back to Pran Pran. "You've got to be out of your mind." Axcel responded as it began to sink in what the purpose of this feast really was. Seeing the strength displayed by I'Orca and Axcel and hearing of their exaggerated stories as heroes for hire, they were courting them to take on the job of overthrowing Jun.
"This Jun fella is above our pay-grade. . ." Axcel began, insinuating there was no way he would take on such a task. "You would have to pay using your most treasured heirlooms. I'm not sure you lot have any, though. . ." Axcel said to the quieted crowd. They looked to be without material possessions of any worth, there was no doubt there. The look of disappointment on their faces were quickly replaced with fear, as the distant sound of mansion gate's opening.
Jun was coming.
Pran Pran and the hunter that assisted the two pirates ushered Axcel and I'Orca into a nearby home, insisting that they remain hidden. From inside the unlit home, they could only quietly witness what was to come.

Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom.
Each one of my steps was a thunderous assault upon the ground as my weight shifted the very earth underneath my feet. At my current size and weight I barely fit through the gate, a resplendent reminder of my boisterous girth. Somehow these villagers had gathered enough tribute to themselves eat the luxurious meat provided by the island today, and I was here to figure out how. I knew just how weak and scrawny they were cut off from the succulent fats provided by the Barbeque Pigs, Potato Bees, and Hash Brown Birds.
"Foooooooooooooooooooooooools." My voice boomed and trailed off, the sound continuing for what seemed like minutes as I arrived in the village square. The fat rolls upon my stomach flowed like a wave from the sudden resounding noise, slowly coming to a stop as my hand smashed down upon a stone with all the force my body allowed, turning it to nothing but powder.
"You think this is enough?"I grabbed a leg of roasted Barbeque Pig and swallowed it whole, only the bones burping forth from my mouth afterwards. "I gave you an inch, allowed you to continue living on this island and you don't even invite me to partake in the festivities? Don't you see how famished I am? This won't do. This month I want double. . no triple."
The collective gasp and cries of alarm were hard not to hear even with the villagers hiding among their homes. They were not happy with this decision, but how could they go against it? My two main bodyguards 'Fork' and 'Spoon' stood valiantly by my side ready to dispatch any naysayers - their own added girths rivaled even my own. I was not normally this cruel but I had an inkling that the villagers had outside help to fulfill the quota. I had kept them weak and skinny and subservient to make sure I got my meals without any issue.
"However, I am generous. I'll give you just this one chance. . " I put up a singular finger, that finger seemingly casting a monolithic shadow upon the village as it drawn against it. ". . One chance to tell me how you did it. How did you provide this bounty? Bring me the individuals responsible. Now."
My face turned to contempt. No one would ruin my perfect unending breakfast buffet.

[googlefont=Asar] [attr="class","carrie"]As the festivities began, I relished in the chance to taste the creature we slew. Only the word amazing could be used to describe just how succulent the creature tasted. Far from what I had initially imagined. Even as the little girl began to climb atop my head, I focused primarily on eating. I only caught bits, and pieces of what Pran Pran had to say. It wasn't until the word "heroes" was mentioned that my attention peaked.
Unfortunately I had just taken a massive bite of food, and was unable to say anything. Listening to Axcel refuse the good folks of the village made me want to vehemently wanted to argue against his decision. Hence I chewed as quickly as I could. Unfortunately by the time I'd been able to speak, I could only get a few words out before the sound of mansion gates opening resounded through the village. "Wait, wait. We can--" Before I could get another word out I had already been ushered by the villagers along with Axcel into a nearby home where they told us to hide.
It wasn't long until the heaving voice of this "Jun" echoed about, and when I finally laid eyes on the individual I could not help, but stare in utter shock. "Oh my. He's so fat." I whispered. Even the Fishmen I'd seen who were born naturally girthy could not compare to the individual known as Jun. I began to wonder how such an individual had managed to take control over an island until I saw him pummel a rock into dust with a singular blow. "Though girthy, that is some impressive power."
I had half-a-mind to charge out recklessly when Jun began to threaten the village folk, but was suddenly stopped by none other than myself for a most profound question invaded my mind. Entirely ignoring the urgency of the situation I began to ponder something as I stared at Jun. And said profound question: Between my own layers of fat, and Jun's whose was more effective? "For fucks sake, move your fat head I'Orca!" Axcel said in a whisper shout, butting his head against the killer whale so that he could get a better look as to what was going on outside. There was just enough window-space for the two of them to see the commotion. That must be him... The pirate thought, noticing the tub of lard that had entered the scene. So that was Jun. He was definitely not one of the malnourished villagers.
Things weren't exactly looking good for common folk. Axcel's eyes shifted towards I'Orca after hearing his comment on how strong Jun was. The whale wasn't easily impressed. The fatass out there was the real deal. "Don't get any stupid ideas. Stay put—captain's orders!" He said, invoking a rite that he rarely took advantage of. As a crew of two Axcel did not generally enforce his status as the captain. There were times however where he drew a line in the sand and it sort of developed into an unspoken rule that if I'Orca crossed anything Axcel commanded as a captain's order, then there would be a problem. This certainly wasn't the hill to die on.
"Just sit tight and watch the show..." Axcel reiterated. Though his choice of words was as casual as they came, his voice rang with concern.
"It was me." The hunter that had, truth be told, did most of the heavy lifting, stepped forward. He was known as Teach among the villagers due to his history as being being the trainer for the hunters. He was the only hunter to not side with Jun after his rise to power, deciding to stay with the villagers and was responsible for fulfilling most of their tribute quota. Even so with all of his skill, today's haul was far too great. The confidence in his voice may have swayed Jun, but only for a brief moment. And the little girl that the pair of pirates encountered knew that.
"And me!" She stepped forwards, balling her hand into a fist as the rush of emotions caused her to shake. To I'Orca and Axcel, she was just some brat that accompanied the hunter. However to Jun and the rest of the villagers, they would recognize her as Pran Pran's granddaughter. A girl who carried the blood of the first men on this island and, like her grand father, was hyper-responsive to the nutrients found in their unique foods. Factoring in her hunting side by side with the hunter coupled with some luck and their haul today was a little more believable.

"Dohohohohoho." My rumbling belly undulated in waves, rolling forth in and endless sea of sweat and fat. It was hot - way too hot, and these villagers had dared not only lie but step up as if they were themselves bigshots. There was only one bigshot here.
My hand was like lightning as it reached 'Teach', a massive palm striking him across his abdomen, knocking him into a nearby structure. His body as rag-dolled as it flew, his entire being at the mercy of the massive kinetic force that was my hand striking against him. The deafening boom of his body slamming against the wall of a house that had toppled afterwards was broken only by deafening silence - no movement. I didn't strike him with enough power to kill him, he wasn't that weak. But, it was quite likely he wouldn't be gathering any foods for the harvest anytime soon. This was the village's punishment for their transgression.
"Lie. You know how I detest liars. And you, little girl - you're brave." I scoffed, "Too brave, almost hotheaded. You'll make a great sacrifice to the Tomato Volcano. Your spice will make a great addition to the tomato sauce that seeps down from the volcano every month." My body glistened as I talked about it, thinking of food triggering a torrent of sweat as my body prepared to ingest more and more succulent sustenance. This power play would likely draw out the true culprit, but if it didn't the Tomato Volcano truly did need its yearly spice sacrifice.
"I am a fair g--savior. All I want is to know who did this and properly 'reward' them is all. This is all of your last chances, if not, well. I could always eat more food. Fork, Spoon - take away the girl then. ." I pretended to sigh as if I did not want this all to happen, allowing my acting skills to display the emotions I most definitely didn't feel myself.

[googlefont=Asar] [attr="class","carrie"]Watching as events unfolded I nearly charged out of our little hiding spot on principle alone, but as luck would have it Axcel stopped me before I could even make a move. Typically I ignore whatever he said, and did my own thing, but not this day, or rather not this time. I found out a while back that when Axcel invoked his "Captain's orders" it was best to listen. Not that I'd be in any danger from him if I didn't listen mind you. It was just generally less of a pain to listen than not. The last time such a situation occurred it did not end up well for either of us.
And though Axcel might be a dick, an ass, and greedy, among other negative traits, deep down he wasn't too bad of a human being. This is something I learned from my many travels with him. At the end of the day he generally did the right thing.
Perhaps he had done rightfully so, cause moments later I watched as the Jun character decimated "Teach" whom we'd helped in the jungle. It took nearly everything I had to prevent myself from engaging. If my layer of blubber could bleed it would have with how hard I clenched my fists. If it were not for the fact I could tell, or rather hear that Teach was alive I would not be able to control myself.
But this Jun really was too good at pushing my buttons. As he did his typical "Villain" speech to the masses, and threatened to sacrifice little girl, I could do naught but try to zone out his massive visage, and voice to control myself. Every fiber of my being wanted to clash with this bastard, but a strange sense of trust held me back. Strangely enough, a trust in Axcel that he would do the right thing.
