Wait! Not my grandaughter!" The old man exclaimed, his cane slipping out of his hands as he reacted in shock. He was torn. There was a code among the villagers of Breakfast Island that Pran Pran told the pirates about. One that went back as far as when the first men crashed landed on Breakfast Island. Loose lips sinks ships. It was said a snitch ensued chaos among their ship, causing them to lose a number of their passengers before ultimately landing on the island they called home. Since then, snitches were exiled.
The girl knew that, yet even so she stepped forward. Her bravery was inspiring, but Axcel had no intention of becoming Jun's next meal. He stayed put. It wasn't until he glanced towards I'Orca did he have a change of heart, although even that was a stretch of the truth. "Alright Porka, we'll take care of this situation." He assured his fishman companion of that much, but if I'Orca looked upon his captain's face he would find a mischievous grin that would more than likely make his stomach turn.
Axcel pulled out a small booklet, flipping through several pages before landing on one and pointing. I'Orca would recognize this as their playbook when running various cons. Axcel may be a charlatan of a hero, but he was a damn good one. "We're running Hook, Line, and Sinker. Do it now, unless you want to see that little girl eaten, yeah?" Axcel was certain I'Orca would have his reservations about running this plan, but he was even more certain that he would do it. If only to save that little girl.
Hook, Line, and Sinker was probably I'Orca's least favorite. The hook involved him taking credit for some wrong doing or playing the role of a villain. In this case, taking sole responsibility for aiding Teach in today's haul. Given his size and capabilities, Axcel was sure the ball of mass outside would accept the fishman's claim. The line was just that, Axcel would come in as the Hero for Hire after Jun and I'Orca disappeared, negotiating a fee with the villagers and being sure to milk them of everything they had. Finally it was the sinker. Usually this involved Axcel defeating I'Orca to collect his fee and the two would be on their merry way.
Only now the sinker involved a real, dangerous threat.

[googlefont=Asar] [attr="class","carrie"]""Alright Porka, we'll take care of this situation."
Hold the fucking phone one darn second. Did Axcel just say we would help without any promise of reward, or a prior deal set? While others might not find this strange, I found myself unable to comprehend the situation. The thought of Axcel having a change of heart did not cross my mind as I knew it was more likely for a miracle to occur. All I could feel is a sense of massive foreboding, and when I looked to Axcel a chill ran down my spine. More so when I saw him retrieve the singular book I hated the most in this world.
"A-are you serious? We're really doing that now? L-let's think about this first."
But my pleas went on deaf ears. One could not imagine how much I disliked Hook, Line, and Sinker, but now I had no choice. Once Axcel made his decision, there is not much in this world that could change his mind from what I knew.
My mind told me to flee, but it was too late. Without hesitation I stepped out of the house we were in. Why? Because my heart told me to do it. Despite how much I could vehemently argue against the plan, I knew. I knew it is moments like this that separated the Heroes from others. Sure it might be smarter to hide, and attempt a rescue later, but such decisions inherently held the risk of the girl being harmed. At least this way it is assured she will be saved.
"STOP!" I shouted passionately. "I am the one you are looking for! Let the girl go, and I will accompany you willingly!"
Approaching slowly, I stopped some few meters away from him ready to make a move if it looked like the girl would come to harm. Staring down at this "Jun" from up close, he looked even larger; his rotund features perhaps matched only by my towering height. If looks could kill, the fatso would have died many times over with how fiercely I stared at him.
"Now let us resolve this amicably. Release the girl, please." [newclass=.carrie]padding: 20px; font: 12px asar; text-align: justify;box-shadow: 0px 0px 7px #838383;[/newclass][newclass=.carrie::first-letter]font: 12px/12px arial;[/newclass]

"Stop!"My languid eyes rose from the frame of the small girl to the 'man' who stepped forward, more of a fish - a fishman. Of course through my times on the sea I had both encountered and heard about their species, fishmen who exhibited physical characteristics of all sorts of marine life while being usually bipedal. A strange race. My gaze rolled over its body and then to mine, examining the matching rolls of fat while taking in the differences. "I see. . hmm, I'm bigger."My body was launched like a massive torpedo as a massive leg pushed off the ground closing the distance between myself and "teach". He was powerless against my might as I lifted him by the leg as if he was but a doll, slamming him down once upon the floor before lifting him high above my own head. My expression betrayed my hunger as I salivated looking at his frame, lifting him higher and higher until he could easily be lowered down - right into my own gullet. My mouth expanded several times past its maximum as I simply swallowed him whole unceremoniously. There were no screams, no yells, no nothing - just the sound of some bones being crunched as I chewed. ". . Ahh, finger lickin' good."Motioning to the whale-man I grasped the young girl and lugged her over my shoulder, "Well, they will both make great sacrifices to the great Tomato Tomato Volcano. A spice and a bit of fishiness, maybe its what the sauce needs. We'll take them both, no exceptions." I stopped just ahead to make sure he played nice and followed. Fork and Spoon approached I'Orca, nudging him to move and follow the lord Jun, brandishing their massive themed weapons (a fork and spoon respectively), while making it clear it wasn't a choice. The Tomato Tomato Volcano was quite a ways away, specifically requiring crossing back over the Barbecue Plains, and only if they left know would they make it during the perfect time just before sunset. it was only during this time when the sauce of the volcano had gone down to a simmer that adding such succulent ingredients could be done without completely burning them and ruining the flavor. Little did the villagers know that I had suspected this was the key to the 'secret' behind the mountain. An ancient people had left cuneiform-like glyphs at the base of the mountain that foretold of both the prophecy of the chosen individual and the finishing of the sauce. Long had I assumed that what was actually being hidden away was something most individuals would go crazy for in this world - something even mentioning was too taboo cause it could spark such controversy. I dared not even think of it. "Come on now, lets get moving."

[googlefont=Asar] [attr="class","carrie"]"Hmph. I'm tall--"
Before I could even finish my retort, the individual known as Jun launched himself with surprising speed for his size. Caught unawares by this fact, I could not prevent him from moving over toward Teach, and lifting the man. I knew he still lived, yet did not know the fatso knew as well, believing he wanted to finish the job. Though I wish to help, I could not do so, and could only hope for the best, however what happened next destroyed that thought immediately. When I saw the strange expression on Jun's face, I could only imagine the worse, but even that could not prepare me for what came.
"W-wait! What are yo--"
Yet again before I could finish my word, Jun swallowed Teach whole as if he were a piece of delectable steak. Seeing such actions, a cold chill ran down my spine. Monster! And slowly a feeling I did not have before began to well up inside me, fear! Not fear for my own safety, nor of Jun, but fear for the little girl. For such an innocent child to be put through something like that is unimaginable. I knew instantly that my thoughts, and actions are too naive, but it is too late to regret now.
With the girl now in the hands of Jun, I cannot attempt to save her. I have no choice, but to follow through with his demands, and attempt to keep the girl out of danger for as long as I am able. When the two lackeys prod me to move, I went along willingly while looking for any chance to free her from the madman.
Internally I cursed Axcel for his decision, but now I have no choice, but to rely on him. A thought that made me shudder. I never thought I'd see the day.
"Why are you doing this?" I said toward Jun in hopes of finding anything that might save the girl. [newclass=.carrie]padding: 20px; font: 12px asar; text-align: justify;box-shadow: 0px 0px 7px #838383;[/newclass][newclass=.carrie::first-letter]font: 12px/12px arial;[/newclass]

Axcel's eyes widened as he watched Jun swallow the native hunter whole. They called him Teach and the pirate had seen his power first hand. He was no slouch, yet this fat dictator had done him in with ease. Axcel was suddenly having second thoughts, even after Jun had taken I'Orca and the girl away. It was probably best he didn't get involved. Maybe he could build a ship out of a raft and sail out of here. I'Orca would manage to escape, some how. Yeah that sounded like a solid plan.
The pirate had risen to his feet now, looking at the crowd that had gathered outside. The high spirits they had carried themselves with throughout the night of celebration just moments earlier had vanished entirely. Any onlooker could see the stress and fear that weighed them down, their backs practically hunching as they all worried for Pran Pran's granddaughter. They were powerless to do anything about it.
Damnit... Axcel was already cursing himself, knowing he was about to act outside of his better judgement. This Jun fella was above the Hired Hero's pay-grade, but even so, he knew he wouldn't be able to decline this job. He stepped out of the home he and I'Orca had been hiding in, his hands on his waist with his chest puffed out. He had practiced his heroic posing more than he cared to admit. If he had to guess, appearing heroic had net him a ten percent increase in the amount of money he was able to demand for a job.
"Fear not! A hero has arrived!" Axcel proclaimed, though if anyone took one glance at him they could see Berri in his eyes. While his posing was on point, he really needed to work on the clear signs of greed plastered all over his face. "My less handsome associate was willfully taken in order to better learn the weaknesses of our enemies. There is no need to fret, he will protect your precious granddaughter from harm. For now. We are pressed for time, and it cannot be understated how quickly we must act."
Suddenly Axcel pulled out a parchment from his pocket. One of several copies that he kept handy with him wherever he went. At the top it read: Contract with a Hero for Hire. He shoved one of the elderly woman aside as he made his way to Pran Pran, knowing he represented French Toast Village.
"Now, my fee may seem a little high, but considering the size of that guy and well...just think of your granddaughter." Axcel said, patting the old man on the back as he handed him a pen.
