He was getting closer to his destination, Stowing away on ships, listening and looking out for where people were heading, it had all culminated to this very moment. He didn't' know who's vessel he currently was on, however he did know that they had a upcoming stop to an island that would net Coyote the closest he could possibly get to Belly Lake. His bounty would be lurking near the depths of the lake, and Coyote would be ready. He'd fish out the beast that had been terrorizing the community at large for such a time now. The boy would rise to his feet slowly and observe his surroundings. He didn't know what kind of things this vessel transported, but from the looks of everything it didn't seem to be any cash crops, or hot products. Instead the belly of the cargo bay felt empty and isolated. A small shiver ran down the boys spine just thinking about what was the usually type of things this crew would haul.
He didn't want to remain distracted, after all he had a job he needed to prepare for. He would slowly retrieve Ebisu, and make small checks on the structural integrity of his favorite fishing rod. He expected the Azure Sharptooth to be potentially the greatest catch of his young life. He knew that as one who aspired to be a master angler, everything had to be in optimal working order. He checked his lines, his reel, and his hooks as the ship swayed between the ocean's strength. He was hopeful about collecting this bounty. He was still relatively unsure as to why anyone would offer up so high of a cash reward for a simple fish. Regardless of how intimidating it seemed, he'd never seen such a pricey tag to be placed on the head of... well anything. Then again, he never really saw much of anything until he decided to leave his home to take the quest. The bounty notice itself had only been found by Coyote after it flew off of the decks of a docked ship, landing right at his feet. Silver took it as a sign that this was a journey he needed to embark upon, so here he was.
"One... Two... Uh... Five?" He'd incorrectly count (he's not very good at math) to himself as he went through his entire inventory of angling tools and utensils. He couldn't afford to waste or misuse a single material. Learning from the other master anglers in his village, he knew that if you ran out of a single thing you could possibly end up losing the trail of the mark one was trying to fish out. Coyote was secure in knowing that he had everything he needed, recounting was just a way to make the time pass by, and hopefully keep him out of trouble until they would finally dock. From there it was another sprint away from the ship. He knew he'd eventually have to ask for directions to the lake, his lips curled into a grin just thinking about the look of shock and awe that would be on people's faces when he did what they couldn't not... And pickle the Azure Sharptooth!

experience is wasted on the old [attr="class","jartoxpost"] [break][break] A might Marine vessel lulled slowly towards the port of the remote island. Normally such a vessel wouldn't come to such a small port but as they had run on a reef a few clicks off the shore they needed to drop anchor. The repairs would probably take a while so the young son of the ships Captain wanted to take the time to stretch his land legs. [break][break] "Cadet Kipper! A loud voice called from the quarterdeck of the ship. The young boy with wild white hair stopped short of the railing on either side of the gangway. Turning he saw the massive silhouette of his father, his figure blurred out by the sun placed behind him. His father had always called him cadet, even long before he had intentions of joining the Marine's. Kip always suspected it had to do with his father's only experience administering authority being in the military. Snapping his heels together Kip rose his hand to his brow in a familiar salute. [break][break]"CAPTAIN!"[break][break] "Don't trouble the locals and stay within eye shot of the mast. [break][break] "Sir, yes sir!" Kip called out before completing his salute and turning to vanish down the gangway before his father could give him any more orders. It was usual for him, his fathers minimalist concern. He was a high ranking Marine officer, he couldn't expect him to hover over his every movement. All the same he didn't want a parent of that sort. He respected his father, a man of power and conviction. A true Marine through and through, even into his family life. But it was because of this that Kipper fell so naturally into the role. He had wanted to be a Marine for so long now and now that it was almost upon him his father seemed to have tripled his efforts. [break][break] The Pronto family name ran long in the military. Kips father, brothers, uncles, his grand father and even HIS grandfather had been Marines. Good ones at that. It was a lot to live up to but Kip intended to put surpass them all. The name always got him looks, attention, attempts at nepotism but Kip turned them all away, wanting only to live on his own merit. That's why he insisted on his own combat training. Pulling out his Yo-yo Courage, a wide white disk, Kip began playing with it before he even left the dock. Slipping his finger into the fitted steel ring that ended it's cord Kip let the disk fly. [break][break] Working with the extended strings and added weight of his weapons required a lot of practice to get used to. That's why Kip always seemed to start playing with them whenever he was presented with free time. Repetition made for excellence and if it took ten thousand hours to master a craft then he had a long way to go still. Having only fourteen years under his belt made achieving over a year of Yo-yo play seem all the further ahead of him. Courage skipped onto the old wood of the dock, the mechanical whirl of it's barrings working away was only magnified by the surface. Twitching his wrist Kip brought the Yo-yo flying back towards him but instead of catching it allowed it to fly over his shoulder. A slight twist of his wrist and the weapon rocketed out again, under his arm and past his side to skip to a spinning stall on the wood again. Kip almost missed the old ship coming in to dock opposite the large military vessel.

It didn't take long for Coyote to sneak out of the vessel from one of the ship's empty rum barrels. With quickness the boy emerged onto the sandy beach front of Garillo Island. It was here he'd find Belly Lake and of course his bounty. He used off his overalls a bit before setting off walking true north. He didn't know much about this place, he'd never been anywhere but his home island and Mock Town, it was a true eye opener for him, as he turned to take in all the fresh sights and sounds of the area. As he walked he noticed a few shaky island members giving him a wary look as he progressed on the beach. They looked to be out of sorts, but Coyote could only imagine that it was from all the apparent devastation being caused by the Azure Sharptooth. Even Silver had to only imagine the power of such a creature. He pondered this as he continued.
"I guess I should ask for directions." He said to himself as he pressed on away from his borrowed vessel. He'd make sure to remember the name of the ship, Coyote was the kind that always paid back his debts, and he definitely owed this crew big time. He approached a few of the locals, big welcomed smile and all. However, it would seem that no one was interested in any kind of conversation. As soon as the words Belly Lake sounded off from his lips, he was met by an immediate end of their acknowledgment. It still must have been a touchy subject for them. Silver would only shrug as he continued on his quest. It wasn't too much longer before he spotted someone who looked to be a bit different from everyone else he'd tried to converse with. He rushed over towards a thin stack of white hair.
"Hey!" he called after the guy. As Coyote drew closer he didn't look to be much older than him. Hopefully this older kid would have some answers for his questions. "Heya! I'm Coyote... And I'm lost." He said looking around him a bit. He made a quick halt as he drew even closer to the guy. His sprint slowed to a small trot as he trudged through the sandy. "Are you from here?" another rapid fire question. He couldn't help himself knowing that he was so close to his goal.

experience is wasted on the old [attr="class","jartoxpost"] [break][break] The dock lost it's interest fairly quickly, the hollering of his father's crew became the same annoying buzz it always did after too long out at sea. Thankfully Kip had anticipated that such a thing would happen and had snagged a chart to the island off the command deck when his father hadn't been looking. He planned to do some exploring of his own despite his fathers instructions. It wasn't like the island was overly large. Even if he wandered off too far to see the sails of the ship he'd still be well within distance to hear the ships horns if it came down to it. He headed north, along the beach his yo-yo bobbing happily along with him as he went. [break][break] He didn't have to go far before adventure found him. His eyes were focused on the sand as Courage left small twin divets in it with each decent. It was the voice that had caught him off guard. Kipper stopping in his tracks, looking up to see the source of the voice that was calling out. It was a boy, couldn't have been too far from his age and seemed to be lost. Kipper was honestly surprised that the boy wasn't native to the island himself. He knew he heard his father talking about what little traffic the island got, of course at that he was more complaining for the difficulty of finding repair supplies. [break][break] "Um...no?" Kipper half responded. Jabbing a finger at the fluffy white sails complete with the Marine's crest over it's span. "I'm just passing through." The soon to be Marine examined the young boy for a moment. It was odd for someone their age to be out and about alone. Blinking his half drooped eyes he reached his hand into his pocket and produced the folded map he had swipped earlier. [break][break]"I should be able to help you though. What are you looking for?"

"I...uhhhh."He was unsure of how to actually phrase it. It seemed that anytime he mentioned Belly Lake, no one wanted to talk to him anymore. Even as he turned his head he could feel the eyes of some of the local islanders staring a hole through the back of his head. Nevertheless, this kid he'd ran into didn't seem like one of them. Plus he was an instant godsend because he carried a map with him. Coyote's eyes lit up as he looked at the map. Perhaps there was someway he could possibly get a look at it and not even hassle the boy with his own problems. However, the natural disposition to be completely honest was overwhelming. If this guy was willing to lend in some help for Coyote's cause, then the least he could do was be upfront and truthful about his means.
"I'm looking for Belly Lake. They say there's a man-eating fish in that lake... Everyone's afraid to even go near it... But I'm gonna catch the thing!" He stated excitedly. He was practically glowing with excitement. He could smell the moment in the air. Today something amazing was going to happen, and he was going to make sure he was in the forefront to experience it. His eyes trailed over to the map. He didn't want to make it too obvious that he was trying to sneak in a peak. However, without a good angle to get a read in on the map he decided to simply wait. He'd waited so long just to get to this moment. He was positive he could stand to wait some more for the information to be passed to him by the older boy... hopefully.
There was definitely something different about his newfound acquaintance. He stood upright, and his demeanor seemed a lot more calmer than the other kids Coyote had ever been around. The reserved attitude led close into a sense of personal power and astuteness. He could feel that this kid wasn't ordinary by any means. Coyote would give him a polite smile, in a way he could almost feel as if the guy was a kindred spirit in many regards. The boy was obviously a seeker of adventure just like Silver himself. Why else would he be here on this island? Unless... A small gulp hit Coyote's throat as his mind pondered over the worse. There was a distinct possibility that the kid as well was after the Azure Sharptooth, and had managed to get to Garillo Island at the same time. Coyote would have just tipped his hand to the young man, and that certainly wasn't good at all. "You wouldn't happen to be looking for it too huh?" he simply had to ask, there was no other way about it. If the young man was, the coyote was prepared to negotiate with him as best as he could to get the first shot at the bountied fish..

experience is wasted on the old [attr="class","jartoxpost"] [break][break] The question seemed to confuse the lost boy more than he thought it would. Of course he had to have at least some idea of where he was to have gotten this far. The name of the lake he finally managed to muster together didn't seem to ring a bell. The fish certainly caught his attention. It sounded like a sight to see at the very least, the lakes own personal sea king. Hopefully a fraction of the size if he was lucky. But if people were going so far as to avoid the lake... [break][break] "No quite the contrary. I'm here on an emergency repair of my fathers ship." Kipper pointed to the sails just on the horizon. "We ran up on a reef and it damaged the hull. We're on course for Marineford, I'm starting my training when we make land." The young recruit pocketed his yo-yo as he spoke, his voice ringing with an air of importance to his personal mission to begin his career. Kip brushed his hand off against his chest before offering his hand to the other boy. [break][break] "Coyote was it? My name is Kipper Pronto. I'm going to be Admiral one day." He spoke as though he had already received the title and was just on his way to his own ceremony. Coyote seemed like someone who could understand such a goal. He had traveled such a long way to challenge a fish many had ran from. It was commendable. A slight smile formed in the corner of his lip as he lifted the map to hold it between them. [break][break] "I'll help you find your fish. Under one condition..." Reaching back into his pocket Kip slipped his finger into the ring of Courage and whipped her out in a flourished loop over his shoulder and back into his hand. He knew what he was doing today. At the very least he wanted to see this fish. "I'm coming with you."

! The eyes of Coyote lit up at the offer of help Kipper was willing to lend him. It was a perfect ideal scenario for Coyote. He'd get his guidance in finding the direction of the lake, and he'd even get the chance to share the experience of his first great catch with someone. After all it was an important thing to have a witness along for the ride. There could be people who would doubt that the boy caught the fish on his own efforts. He didn't want a shred of doubt to cast a shadow over the accomplishment he'd been looking forward too. Coyote would beam brightly at his new acquaintance before opening up to speak once again. "That would be perfect! You get to see the Azure Sharptooth too! When I catch it, we can show these guys that they don't have to be afraid of their own lake anymore!" As much as this catch was important to him, he also recognized how much it would mean to the citizens and denizens of Garillo Island. From what he could gauge, everyone seemed to be scared senseless about getting close to the lake.
"Ok lets shake on it?" Coyote was the type of person who's word was his bond. He always punctuated all of his business with a proper firm handshake. It was something that all the Silvers did, and Coyote was no different from his kin. He'd observe the boy in front of him, and try to deduce what he was speaking of earlier. Coyote had never experienced being around Marines of any kind. The only thing he knew from them were the words and perceptions thrown about them by the people of his small fishing village. It varied depending on who was speaking, but in general Coyote got an even-keel feeling about the sailors of the World Government. "Oh and whats an Admeerel?" Coyote would butcher the pronunciation of the word, thinking it over in his head again and wincing after determining that he possibly got the name horribly mistaken. Still he was curious as to what his new friend was aiming for. It was a nice thing to have something to aspire too. In Coyote's case he wanted to be the greatest angler ever seen of any of the Blues... For Kipper it was to be an Admiral. What ever that meant, the way Kipper's voice resonated with pride and promise, it sent a message to Coyote that the goal of his new pal was a grand one indeed.

experience is wasted on the old [attr="class","jartoxpost"] [break][break] Kippers smile widened still at Coyote's especially positive response to his proposal. He certainly took great pride in his craft. One could only imagine how excited he would be when he actually landed the fish. But it wasn't just his personal aspirations that seemed to drive him towards the goal. His mention of the island's residents not having to be scared anymore was not lost on the young Marine. It showed a level of the anglers character that Kip could certainly coincide with and made him want to help in the quest all the more. [break][break] "Right." Kip spoke simply as he firmly grasped Coyote's hand, an all to familiar gesture but it served to solidify their alliance. The Marine's smile faded back to his default expressionless state that had been refined into his system over the years. "Must be one heck of a fish to cause so much suffering." Taking the map in his hands Kipper unfolded the worn paper revealing a detailed topographical map of the small island. Thankfully it was a smaller island, it would have been a whole other adventure had they ended up on a vast island such as Alabasta. [break][break] "Add-mur-el." Kip sounded out for his companion, though not with a tone of arrogance or judgement. He could tell that Coyote wasn't as verse in the ways of the world as most people he came across. "Admiral is one of the highest ranks a Marine can hold. They are responsible for the lives of many Marine's and can insight real change in the world." He could almost feel the over-sized coat weighing on his shoulders already. With some examining of the map and looking up from time to time Kip gauged their location on the map. Knowing they had laid anchor on the east side of the island the Marine was able to get his barring in relation to the map. [break][break] "There's no names on the map but from the looks of it..." Kip turned and held the map open so that Coyote could see the landscape. With his thumb Kip pointed to a large blob of blue at the center of the island. "There's only one body of water really worth calling a lake. I'd bet a weeks worth of latrine duty that's where we'll find your fish." Without waiting any longer Kip quickly folded the map and made his way inland, the beach firmly at his back. They had a bit of a hike ahead of them but nothing that would be too trying from what he could tell. Plunging into the plant life of the island Kip glanced over his shoulder to Coyote, not missing a step as he did so. [break][break] "You aren't from anywhere around here are you?"

! Coyote moved with purpose as he and his new friend were on the chase. He was so eager to hunt down and fish out this big catch. However, he also was keen on seeing how well his new friend could keep up with him. Fishing wasn't as simple as people thought it was. it took time, and patience. Being a Silver Coyote had plenty of it, but the same couldn't be said for just everyone.
"No I'm not from here haha. And an Admiral sounds pretty cool!" Coyote would exclaim excitedly as the two ventured through the "metropolitan" area of the island into a more badlands-esque part of the land. The young man was right in his directional assessment of where this lake would be located.. Coyote could smell the fresh water hitting his lungs as they both drew even closer to their bounty.
"I don't know much about the marines. But I have a pirate friend named Tom! I don't think he liked them too much... But I bet he'd like you, you're really nice!" Coyote would speak candidly as they continued to move forward. As they walked the young boy would retrieve Ebisu. He clutched the grip of the fishing rod tightly, ready to make his name known to the world as being one of the greatest anglers in all the blues.

experience is wasted on the old [attr="class","jartoxpost"] [break][break] Well at least he was right about the boy not being from around there. Though his answer still kept his point of origin a mystery. It was whether it was on purpose or simple lack of follow up that was the question. Coyote seemed innocent enough but Kip knew that looks could be deceiving when it came to sizing someone up. But still he didn't get a bad feeling from the angler so he didn't want to dig too far if he wasn't okay with sharing it. The terrain had began to get more uneven as the ventured further from the more populated edge of the island. It seemed as though life had pushed it's way further back from the lake. Funny since generally islands with this sort of geography tended to do the opposite. A heavy scoff came from Kip's throat as Coyote spoke of a pirate that he called his friend. [break][break] "Likely that he wouldn't take kindly to them or myself as any Marine worth their mettle would likely commandeer him on sight." His tone took a noble quality as he spoke, arm absently brushing aside a low branch as he walked. He had no patience for any that sailed under a Jolly Roger, anyone who would openly defy the world government. "Pirates are brigands and outlaws. Criminals standing against the World Government and it's efforts to unite the world." His hand absently went to his pocket at the mention of Pirates. Instinct brought his hand to the fitted loop of his black yo-yo. He was eager to help in serving such justice in the upcoming future. Of course he didn't know there was an opportunity to test himself readily around the corner. He stopped in his tracks for a moment, reviewing what words he had spoke and turned to meet Coyote's face. [break][break] "You're nice too Coyote. Just be careful who you're nice too. Not everyone is as they seem." He nodded at the angler with a cold stare before he turned to continue on his path. The ground was becoming steeper as they walked on, coming up to a great hill that acted like a ring going around the circumference of the island. From the peak they'd be able to see Belly Lake, in the heart of the island where nary a man walked any more since the beast had taken up refuge on it's shores. Kip stopped again as the reached the top, pointing out the blue body of water hiding among the treetops. [break][break] "That...would be Belly Lake." Kip announced as he pulled out the map once more to review where they were and double check his barrings. Looking over his shoulder he could still see the white billowing sails of his fathers ship, the Marine's logo still legible. If he went down the other side of the hill surely he would lose track of them.
